I received the e-mail posted below from a member of the Canadian Action Party. The planetary crises facing humanity is the direct result of those worlds citizens who have unwittingly fostered a society which staggers under the guilt of tolerating science without idealism, politics without principles, wealth without work, pleasure without restraint, knowledge without character, power without conscience, and industry without morality. The following e-mail addresses the issues of Industry without morality and science without idealism!

GLOBAL WARMING and other abuses of Science

Whereas:

The recent media attention given to the Global Warming threat, fueled by the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth", does not go far enough towards exposing all environmental threats or far enough in identifying possible solutions. While focusing on only one specific threat, numerous other issues are being ignored, namely the Pollution of our air and water, the introduction of genetically modified ingredients into Canada's food supply, and the collapse of the North American honeybee population. The Canadian Action Party feels it is irresponsible to ignore all the major threats to our environment in favour of only one. Furthermore, the proposed solution to the Global Warming threat, specifically a Carbon Tax of as much as 30 cents per litre of gasoline, being trumpeted by politicians and the media alike will do little to resolve the problem.

Additionally, the abbreviated notes from the September 2006 North American Forum meeting in Banff Alberta specifically mention implementing a Carbon Tax to fund the North American Union and the ultimate demise of Canada as it is merged with the United States and Mexico. These are the same documents which use the phrase "Evolution by Stealth" when discussing the implementation of the North American Union.

The Canadian Action Party has grave concerns that the globalists will exploit the hearts of good environmentally sound people to bludgeon them into submitting to outrageous taxes and energy costs all to be used for nefarious purposes.

It is alarming to see how complacent citizens have become with regards to the routine issuance of smog warnings, contaminated sport fish advisories, and the closure of beaches and lakes due to excessive bacteria levels. These occurrences should be the exception, not the rule, and the levels with which we have become conditioned to must not be tolerated. A global tax on emissions will do nothing to resolve these problems, real solutions to combat polluters must be determined.

Unfortunately "An Inconvenient Truth" only blames consumers expecting them to suffer the entire burden and fails to mention the damage caused by corporations. However corporations are responsible for the bulk of the pollution to our land, water, and air. Consumers already have the power to reduce their ecological footprint, simply by altering their daily activities, and these positive lifestyle changes must be encouraged. A more targeted approach towards corporations still needs to be implemented.

Therefore:

The Canadian Action Party will implement policies to deal with all major environmental issues, not just global warming, all without the implementation of a Carbon Tax. The use of alternative energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal will be encouraged through personal and corporate tax incentives. Corporate polluters will be boycotted and taxed. Stricter laws and punishment will be levied against corporations who continue to pollute. A real plan to eliminate land, water, and air pollution will be implemented. The cause of smog days and beach closures will be determined and eliminated. The casual acceptance of a polluted world will no longer be tolerated.

Canada must put a high priority towards environment recovery by researching and developing the use of microbial technology for the purposes of cleaning damaged environments after nuclear attacks, oil spills, pesticide usage, and other contaminations. Additionally, the feasibility of the reprocessing of nuclear waste to increase efficiency, long considered too expensive, should be examined due to the recent increases in oil prices.

Studies into the consequences of genetically modified foods will be instituted immediately to enumerate the effects these foods have on people and the environment, as well as to determine the relation, if any, of genetically modified food to the decline of the honeybee population. If GMO foods are found to have negative consequences for people and the environment, their usage will be discouraged and if possible, eliminated. Furthermore, all consumer packaging will be required to plainly state if the product includes GMO ingredients, regardless of the results of any investigation into the health affects.

The use of Terminator Seeds will be strictly controlled or disallowed due to likelihood that they will kill off many insects and useful bacteria. A 1999 experiment with the milkweed plant the primary plant the Monarch Butterfly uses to feed its larvae stage and propagate itself was conducted after the discovery that pollen from the Gt Corn killed off the Monarch Butterfly in the larvae stage of development.

Furthermore, these seeds will pollute other seed varieties eliminating the stability of the very foundation of life; the ability for the seeds to reproduce. The Canadian Action Party feels the use of terminator seeds is simply an effort to eliminate the prospect of self sustainability from Canadian farmers forcing them to purchase new seeds year after year.

The use of herbicides and pesticides will be examined as well as the sustainability and overall health of the agriculture and fishery industries in Canada. Canadians will ultimately diagnose and remedy our environmental issues not former American government officials whose own energy consumption habits show a complete lack of respect for the environment.
