The survival of democracy is dependent on successful representative government; and that is conditioned upon the practice of electing to public offices only those individuals who are  technically trained, intellectually competent, socially loyal, and morally fit. Only by such provisions can government of the people, by the people, and for the people be preserved.

I spoke on your show Maritime Noon in response to your Question. “Do you see signs of responsible government in Canada?”

I would like to add the following content to this inquiry.

I answered your question with a real solution to the problems of government in Canada. The Canadian Action Party is a true representative party seeking the will of the Canadian people to manage their common affairs. I would like to add the following content to my conversation as a representative of the Canadian Action Party.

Presently, Canada is under the rule of the fortunate few who desire to rule over the unfortunate many, as unelected and unaccountable rulers.

We are living under the yoke of Political Tyranny, Economic Slavery and a growing Police State, where officers of the law punish wrong doers by torture devices such as pepper spray and electronic shock guns on the streets circumnavigating the civil process of standing trial.

There are ten steps, or stages, to the evolution of a practical and efficient form of representative government. These stages in the evolution of government are safeguards against political tyranny, economic slavery and a growing police state in Canada and neighboring countries. These safe guards of a true representative government are:

Each individual would be wise to measure our present government by these standards of excellence in governmental affairs:

1. Freedom of the person. Slavery, serfdom, and all forms of human bondage must disappear. Does the minimum wage in Canada allow for every citizen to hope for better times ahead? Is higher education available in Canada to any citizen who desires to gain specialized skill and ability without becoming a wage slave to educational debt slavery?  Does the present government guarantee work once the costs have been counted and paid by the individual seeking higher service to the Canadian people in an increasingly more complex world?

 2. Freedom of the mind. Unless a free people are educated -- taught to think intelligently and plan wisely -- freedom usually does more harm than good.  Our children must all be taught to partake in and also be in possession of a true understanding of our government, it’s executive, judicial and legislative branches and also know their rights, privileges and duties as Canadians.

 3. The reign of law. Liberty can be enjoyed only when the will and whims of human rulers are replaced by legislative enactments in accordance with accepted fundamental law. What techniques are set in place to guarantee we are not ruled by political dictators, and economic tyrants who defy the will of the majority of Canadians once elected?

 4. Freedom of speech. Representative government is unthinkable without freedom of all forms of expression for human aspirations and opinions, without consequence.

 5. Security of property. No government can long endure if it fails to provide for the right to enjoy personal property in some form. Man craves the right to use, control, bestow, sell, lease, and bequeath his personal property. Is the Canadian home and family the nucleus of every society free from seizure by either the banking institutions or by the government itself through tax seizures?

6. The right of petition. Representative government assumes THE RIGHT OF CITIZENS TO BE HEARD.  The privilege of petition is inherent in FREE CITIZENSHIP. Are the voices of all those who seek a true representative type of government being heard in Canada? Are the people of Canada able to manage their social, economic and political institutions?

The right to rule. It is not enough to be heard; THE POWER OF PETITION must progress to THE ACTUAL MANAGEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT. Do the people of Canada possess techniques to control the will and whims of their elected representatives? Do our elected representatives have freedom of speech and freedom of opinion as is their right under the Supreme Laws of Canada once they join a political party in Canada?

 8. Universal suffrage. Representative government presupposes an intelligent, efficient, and universal electorate. The character of such a government will ever be determined by the character and caliber of those who compose it. As civilization progresses, suffrage, while remaining universal for both sexes, will be effectively modified, regrouped, and otherwise differentiated. Has Canada modified its voting structures and organizations so that the provinces manage the provincial affairs and the nation manages the national affairs?   .

 9. Control of public servants. No civil government will be serviceable and effective unless the citizenry possess and use wise techniques of guiding and controlling officeholders and public servants. What techniques do Canadians have set in place to quickly identify and remove leaders who are not loyal to the ideals and values of the majority of Canadians? What frequent  public referendums do we have in place to vote on how our public officials manage our common affairs?

10. Intelligent and trained representation. The survival of democracy is dependent on successful representative government; and that is conditioned upon the practice of electing to public offices only those individuals who are technically trained, intellectually competent, socially loyal, and morally fit. Only by such provisions can government of the people, by the people, and for the people be preserved. What do the people of Canada really know about the people whose names appear on their ballot? Where is the public information on the invested interests, life plans and goals of our public officials? Judges in our courtrooms are under oath to make sure they do not have a conflict of interest in the cases they bring to trial. What are the interests of our public officials? To whom are they loyal, and by what method have they risen to power over the people?

If one individual craves freedom -- liberty, that individual must remember that all other individuals long for the same freedom.

Groups of such liberty-loving individuals cannot live together in peace without becoming subservient to such laws, rules, and regulations as will grant each person the same degree of freedom while at the same time safeguarding an equal degree of freedom for all of his fellows.  If one individual is to be absolutely free, then another must become an absolute slave. And the relative nature of freedom is true socially, economically, and politically. Freedom is the gift of civilization made possible by the enforcement of LAW. Justice is to nation life what faith is to religion.

Religion makes it spiritually possible to realize the brotherhood of mankind, but it will require mankind’s national and international governments to regulate the social, economic, and political problems associated with such a goal of human happiness and efficiency.

In Canada and throughout the world there shall be wars and rumors of wars -- nation will rise against nation -- just as long as the world's political sovereignty is divided up and unjustly held by a group of nation-states such as NATO. All nations of the world must have true representative governments in place. This is the goal and desire of all law abiding citizens’ desire.

If Canada continues on its present military agendas and associations with our warring neighbour to the south, another world war will teach NATO and other so-called sovereign nations of this world such as the G8 to form a true federation of all nations, thus creating the machinery for preventing small wars, wars between the lesser nations. Global wars will go on until the government of mankind is created. Where the Declaration of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court can put national leaders on trial for breaking international laws such as has our Liberal and Conservative governments. Global sovereignty will prevent global wars -- nothing else can. And global sovereignty is dependent upon peace loving nations who will not impose their will upon any other nation, and will refrain from attempting to solve problems of peace with acts of violence.
